Nutrigenomics Education

Lifecode Gx® are the leading experts in nutrigenomics education. We offer a range of training opportunities, presented live - in person or online (or recorded) from short 'snapshots' - which all are welcome to join - to structured training for health professionals to support their use of nutrigenomics in clinical practice. If you are new to nutrigenomics or are newly qualified or if nutrition isn’t your main modality we recommend that you start with a snapshot or two. You can also access our back catalogue of free webinar recordings via Vimeo.

To be notified of future events please register for our newsletter. Health professionals are welcome to register with us prior to completing training.

FTO Gene - Obesity and Beyond

Whilst it is well known that variants of the fat mass and obesity-associated protein (FTO) are linked to obesity, understanding of the underlying mechanisms has been scarce.

This webinar will explore new insights including FTO as a demethylase with far reaching impacts on metabolic, cognitive, and behavioural health. And, most importantly, how getting to know your FTO gene can enable personalised approaches to optimal health.

Join us online from 7pm (UK time), Monday 31st March

Methylation and Metals

In this free webinar we investigate key genes and SNPs involved in the metabolism of heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury, cadmium and lead.

Focussing on the role of methylation as a modifier of toxicity, and how and why genes affect resilience or risk of disease in individuals who are exposed. We will discuss who is at risk, specific genes involved, and consider: Is methylation always a good thing?

Join us on line from 7pm (UK time), Monday 24th February

Genes In Mind

We are pleased to offer Lifecode Gx® Genes In Mind course recordings (on demand until 31st June 2026), inc. course pdfs to keep forever. 10 hrs CPD (BANT and NNA).

Deep dive into gene-environment-neurotransmitter interactions, unravelling the neurobiochemistry behind labels such as - ADHD, anxiety, impulsivity, OCD, depression, anorexia nervosa, bipolar, fibromyalgia and autism, and illustrating the power of nutrigenomics to support and optimise nervous system health.

As this course WAS presented live in May last year (2024), it does not include LIVE sessions, interactions or Q&A. Although you will be able to see the history chat and Q&A (you can also switch that off if you find it distracting).

Available Now - On Demand for just £75

Dynamic Metabolism

Metabolism is so much more than a 'fuel in, energy out' equation, it's fundamental to all aspects of health and disease, and the most important aspect of long term health. It's the key to life.

This course will look at metabolism in the context of cancer, including the idea that the 'reprogrammed metabolism' - a recognised cancer ‘hallmark’ - may be a logical and predictable reaction to the prevailing conditions inside the cell.

Format Online - 3x 2.25 hr webinars. Live sessions from 10am (UK time) on Fridays - 15th, 22nd, 29th November 2024. Recordings of all sessions will be available for 12 months after the course ends.

Hosted by Dawn Waldron with guest presenter Emma Beswick

Nutrigenomics Practitioner Programme 2025

Our flagship 10-week Nutrigenomics Practitioner Programme (NPP) will run from January to March 2025, and provide 20 hours of CPD approved education and guidance in weekly 2-hour sessions (Fridays, 10am-12pm). Recordings will be available immediately after each session and available for review until March 2026.

The programme will deepen your knowledge of nutrigenomics by emphasising the connections between genes, nutrients and body systems. We start with core principles of nutrigenomics and build your knowledge of nutrient metabolism, methylation, histamine, detoxification, nervous system and hormones. Examples and case studies enable you to put your knowledge to practical use, selecting reports, interpreting and incorporating them into personalised nutrition and lifestyle protocols. Finally, we look at the practicalities of using and marketing nutrigenomics in your clinic. Self-assessment along the way will highlight key learning outcomes and encourage discussion and debate.

Applications are now closed for Jan ‘25 start date https://www.lifecodegx.com/nutripract .

if you don’t yet hold an account with us please apply in preparation for NPP ‘26.
